Job Details

A Building Consultancy situated in North London is currently seeking a Building Surveyor to join their team. The company has emerged from a large Commercial consultancy, providing employees with the opportunity to work on prominent corporate-style projects while enjoying the personal touch of an SME environment.

The decision to hire a new Surveyor comes because of a sustained period of success. The position available can range from an Assistant to Senior level, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience. The company has experienced growth over the past few years, with an increase in the number and value of instructions received.

As a Building Surveyor in this role, the successful candidate will have the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, primarily focusing on CAT A fit-out work within the Commercial sector. The responsibilities will include Project Management, Dilaps, Party Wall matters, Specification writing, and Acquisition Surveys. Additionally, the role will involve significant client interaction, offering full autonomy over the work and direct communication with clients. For those joining at the Assistant level, this aspect of the role will be developed and nurtured over time.

The ideal candidate will come from a Building Surveying background, with at least 3 years of experience. An RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying is preferred, and the candidate should be eager to contribute to the long-term growth of the company and play a key role in its ongoing success. Experience in any of the following areas: Project Management, Party Wall matters, Dilaps, Acquisition Surveys, and Specification writing, will be advantageous. Strong client-facing skills are also a requirement, given the substantial client interaction involved in the position. The company welcomes candidates on both the APC pathway and those who are already qualified, as long as they possess the necessary experience and desire to succeed in the role.

Remuneration for the successful candidate will be negotiable and dependent on experience (DOE), with a potential salary of up to £65k. For an Assistant level candidate, the starting salary will realistically be around £35k. In addition to a competitive salary, the package includes a bonus scheme, pension, healthcare, and other benefits. This role offers ample opportunities for career progression, making it an ideal platform for ambitious individuals who aspire to reach top-tier positions within a consultancy.

If you are interested in joining a dynamic Building Consultancy with exciting growth prospects and wish to contribute to their continued success, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
