New opportunity within the Maidstone office of this established multidisciplinary consultancy, working both as an integral member of their skilled team of Building Surveyors but also entrusted with sole responsibility for overseeing their own projects from start to finish. The candidate will play a crucial role in promoting the practice and furthering client relationships. You will have excellent opportunities for progression within this friendly and flexible work environment.

Person Specification:

• The successful applicant will hold a RICS recognised degree or equivalent in Building Surveying or a related field
• You will ideally be Chartered (MRICS)
• You will have strong communication skills
• Willingness to develop and nurture junior staff

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Building Advice – advising clients about building/property issues, which can include technical, financial, legal, environmental/sustainability, building regulation & restoration matters; for example, party wall awards, dilapidations, building works
• Surveys – undertaking building surveys with photographic schedules
• Rectifications – monitoring the deterioration or defects of a property & offering advice on repair work
• Condition Reports – assessing the impact of unexpected damage or adverse conditions on a property & providing advisories
• Contracts & Procurement – preparing tender documentation & contracts for programmes of work.
• Project Management – managing projects and/or multidisciplinary teams.

Salary & Package:

Salary levels range from £47,000 – £56,000 dependent on experience.
