Job Title: Country Head/CEO/MD
Job Summary: To develop and deliver the vision and strategic plan of the country office, to lead and build a sustainable and profitable business in collaboration with the broader Group.
Reporting to: Managing Director MEA
Direct reports: Service Line Heads
Responsibilities
Office Profile
- To develop and deliver a strategy for sustainable and profitable growth, leading to the business being a market leading office in the global and regional network and real estate industry.
Winning New Business
- Ensure there is high quality pitching across Global Service Lines and Key National Service Lines including key domestic and international client targets.
- Build relationships with key clients and assist our fee earners to win new instructions where appropriate.
- Build the company profile in the market and be recognised as the “go to” person for market commentary and thought leadership.
Building the Business
- Ensure there is a full business plan in place for the future development of the business and growth in business areas detailed in plan being achieved including new ventures.
- Build on the existing Agency and Valuation service lines, including Commercial Property, Farms, Estates and Lodges and grow the Property Management and Advisory business.
Collaboration
- Regular liaison with the other Country Heads and Service Line Heads to create great relationships and become a contributor to the global network and a key player in your region.
- Participate fully in regional activities including Board Meetings, Conference and research initiatives.
- Working with the COO/CFO collaboratively to ensure the business is operating efficiently and effectively.
Managing the Business
Financial
- Ensure that annual budgets are established and managed, monitoring the performance against targets at a business unit level and where necessary set remedial action.
- Set revenue targets for service lines and ensure that client and BD plans are in place to achieve them.
Business Planning and Financial Management
- Conducting strategy reviews as required, with input from the Head of MEA and as approved by the Group Executive Board, to ensure the business is sustainable, dynamic and profitable.
- Manage annual budgeting, re-forecasting and financial target setting to ensure success against each service line’s agreed business plan.
Risk
- Implement relevant policies and procedures for applicable laws, regulations standards and industry codes.
- Annual declarations of compliance and necessary mandatory education up to date (office wide) as well as necessary compliance with Valuation protocols. Responsible for developing or adopting the necessary staff training around all legal and compliance requirements.
Team
- Effectively communicate the strategic direction and performance of the business through the organisation from Board level downwards
- Lead and manage direct reports to create a strong, effective and professional Business Services team.
Brand
- Be a leading voice in the industry as a part of Industry Group and positioning the company in an award-winning high-profile position.
Systems
- Ensure there are the necessary IT infrastructure, systems and processes in place across all business areas Job
