Rural Development Surveyor

Our client, a distinguished and forward-thinking landed estate, is seeking a talented individual to join their expanding team. This estate features a diverse portfolio including in-hand farming, let farms, residential and commercial properties, forestry, renewable energy, minerals, development, heritage assets, sporting, and off-estate investments.

Position Overview:

Due to an increased workload and ambitious expansion plans, they are looking to add a Commercial and Asset Management Specialist to their team. This role will focus on commercial asset management, planning, and development, contributing to the estate's growth and diversification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and create capital and income value by identifying, nurturing, and completing projects of varying scales and timelines.
  • Manage projects such as the redevelopment of traditional farm building complexes, housing plots, commercial leasing of ex-farm sheds, storage solutions (caravans, classic cars, containers), barn conversions, newbuild pensioner housing, and disposal of historic suburban assets.
  • Oversee the redevelopment of former leisure assets and seek allocations for employment and housing land.
  • Develop light industrial estates and manage associated finance and taxation.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

They are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a background in rural practice with a development focus or experience in GP/P&D with an interest in rural settings.
  • Be a bright, energetic, and progressive individual who can work collaboratively within a core senior management team.
  • Work closely with the estate's owner, managing director, finance director, development surveyor, farm manager, property manager, and assistant agent.

This role is perfect for a commercially-minded professional eager to contribute to the growth and success of a prestigious landed estate.

Your application will be dealt with in the strictest confidence by Dan Cole. Please call our office on 07443 880 834 or alternatively send your CV (at this stage do not worry if it's not up-to-date) directly to dan.cole@beachbaker.co.uk
