A unique opportunity for an Associate Director to join this growing consultancy with a short-term plan to progress in to the Director role. As part of the growth and development plan as well as succession planning, this role will offer a direct path for the right candidate.

Person Specification:

• Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Building Surveying or related subject
• MRICS – You will ideally be a Chartered Building Surveyor, or prepared and able to work towards Chartership
• Broad range of experience across various projects, professional instructions and sectors
• Strong communication skills/ client facing
• Holds a current site-card or is prepared to immediately attain one

Roles & Responsibilities:

The role will involve working across a number of projects in different sectors and being able to provide a range of building surveying duties to both a competent and high standard, to include (but not limited to) the following:

• Undertake projects in accordance with RICS standards.
• Provide technical and advisory guidance to clients and stakeholders and other team members.
• Ensure, contribute, lead and identify on the delivery of quality assured client focused projects and services to meet the agreed clients’ requirements.
• Advise senior managers of potential business streams and actively work in conjunction with the marketing plan.
• Promote a professional service on behalf of the Company to official representatives of external clients.
• Support the company in terms of client development and to be able to demonstrate an ability to foster professional relationships with new and existing clients.
• Prepare, specifications, drawings and carry out risk assessments for improvement, refurbishment and new building schemes.
• Prepare tender documents, undertake C.A./PM duties and site monitoring duties of relevant contracts ensuring compliance and quality control.
• Undertake site surveys in relation to condition/building surveying, schedules of condition, dilapidations, measured surveys and planned maintenance; defect analysis to include analytical investigation, research and preparation of technical reports.
• To carry out Reinstatement Cost Assessments on a range of building types
• Take Responsibility for identifying new business opportunities.
• Carry out all other duties appropriate to the level of the post.
• Promote continuous improvement and deliver demonstrable high quality products and services which embrace quality standards.
• Demonstrate personal commitment to the company’s IIP strategy and CSR targets.

Salary & Package:

Package from £85,000 – £110,000 per annum, dependant on seniority and experience.

• Bonus (non discretionary) based on % of net profit

• Pension: 4% self invested cash plan (until such time secondary pensions commence in Jersey)

• Typical income tax rate is below 20% (typical is around 17%)
