We are seeking a skilled and motivated Building Surveyor with a specialisation in retrofit to spearhead the growth of this service line for a leading property company in Central London.

Our client is a highly-regarded, internationally renowned and prestigious real estate company, and this is a very exciting, strategic hire for an expert to develop the specialist service line, within an established and notorious Building Surveying team.

The Role:

• To spearhead the growth and development of retrofit services.
• Be responsible for managing and delivering high-quality retrofit projects, conducting detailed building surveys, and providing expert advice to clients on energy efficiency, sustainability, and compliance.
• This will involve leading a team, developing business opportunities, and ensuring that all projects meet regulatory and industry standards.

Responsibilities to include:

• Lead and Manage Retrofit Projects.
• Conduct Detailed Building Surveys.
• Client Consultation and Advisory: Provide expert advice to clients on retrofit solutions, regulatory compliance, energy efficiency, and sustainability practices.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of surveyors and project managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the retrofit sector. Develop and implement strategies to grow the retrofit service line and expand the client base.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, specifications, and cost estimates for retrofit projects. Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is highly desirable.
• Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and retrofit strategies.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM, MS Project).
