JOB TITLE: QUANTITY SURVEYOR

SALARY: CI$90,000 - CI$110,000 pa

BENEFITS: Competitive Package Offered

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 2-year contract

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support in the areas of budget preparation, procurement, cost control, change management, project administration and monitoring.
 

DO YOU HAVE: 


A Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field

MRICS (or equivalent) professional designation

Minimum of 7 years’ post qualification experience, including project experience in the development and construction of large mixed use hospitality or commercial projects

Experience in PMWeb,On-Screen Take-Off and/or CostX estimating software are preferred

Must have excellent mathematical, planning, analytical, negotiation and time management skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

The ability to work both independently and as part of the larger commercial/project team

Excellent computer skills required for analyzing and monitoring commercial activities

 

WE WANT YOU TO: 

Undertake predominately post contract commercial management; procurement, cost control, subcontract change management and administration and project monitoring

Assist in pre-contract cost planning and estimating functions

Identify, assess and manage the commercial risks of projects

Prepare monthly cost forecast reports on the commercial health of assigned projects

Maintain cost statistics on an island-wide and regional basis

Research labour, materials, and equipment pricing and making cost effective recommendations for assigned projects

Maintain professional relations with clients, vendors, suppliers and external consultants

Promote commercial awareness and drive profitability on all assigned projects; from inception through procurement & construction, to final account
