My international client is looking to add to their Central London Property Management team, they focus on delivering accurate and timely service while achieving key performance indicators within the department. This role supports one of the top fee-earning global clients, making it both exciting and demanding for a commercially minded and highly professional individual.

My client is seeking an exceptional Surveyor or Senior Surveyor to join the team responsible for managing a prestigious and expanding portfolio. The role involves overseeing landmark buildings in Central London and working closely with the client’s investment team, asset management team, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in a client-focused surveying team.
  • Engage in analytical budgeting and direct reporting to the fund.
  • Participate in departmental strategies, projects, and business development activities.
  • Ensure smooth transitions of client properties during acquisition and sale.
  • Collaborate with the FM team and building managers to ensure all sites comply with legislative and procedural requirements.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and prepare reports for the client, ensuring they meet specifications and are delivered within agreed timelines.
  • Approve data published in management reports and attend client meetings.
  • Manage finances related to rents, service charges, and insurance premiums, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
  • Work closely with the Asset Management and Investment teams to align with strategy and project objectives.
  • Review and approve service charge budgets, incorporating Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) works as appropriate.
  • Monitor service charge cash flow and regularly review budget versus expenditure with facilities managers.
  • Approve service charge reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Engage in occupier meetings and initiatives.
  • Review tenant applications and prepare client recommendations.
  • Liaise with retained property lawyers.  

Person Specification/Requirements:

  • Ability to build and maintain effective, long-term relationships with valued clients.
  • Experience and knowledge of property management law, enabling informed recommendations and strategic decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of landlord and tenant relations, contributing to lease advisory decisions.
  • Forward-thinking and proactive approach.
  • Experience with VAT, banking, and financial control.
  • Proficiency in standard IT software such as Word and Excel, with knowledge of accounting/information databases like Tramps (training available if needed).
  • Ability to supervise and develop team members. Excellent presentation skills.
