Senior / AD Building Surveyor

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Senior or Associate Building Surveyor to join our team in Bristol. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, providing expert advice and overseeing all aspects of building surveying. You will play a key role in managing client relationships, delivering high-quality service, and supporting the growth of our Bristol office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct building surveys, condition assessments, and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Manage refurbishment, renovation, and repair projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
• Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documents.
• Advise clients on the maintenance, repair, and conservation of buildings, including heritage properties.
• Handle contract administration, ensuring adherence to statutory and contractual requirements.
• Provide expert guidance on building defects, repairs, and health and safety matters.
• Engage in client relationship management, including business development and networking to identify new opportunities.
• Mentor and support junior surveyors, contributing to their professional growth and the success of the team.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• MRICS qualified with extensive experience in building surveying.
• Strong technical knowledge of building construction, pathology, and compliance.
• Proven experience in managing projects and delivering client-focused services.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience with historic and listed buildings is advantageous but not required.
• Proficiency in relevant surveying software and technology.
