Commercial Property & Asset Manager

The role

The property & asset management team of my client is seeking to recruit a Surveyor/Senior Surveyor. This role will cover all aspects of management, primarily focusing on a diverse portfolio of assets within London and the M25 area. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing office, industrial, or retail properties, possess strong communication skills, be self-motivated, and demonstrate a keen attention to detail.

In addition to managing assets, the candidate will be responsible for enhancing their value. While not essential, a Chartered Surveyor qualification is highly desirable for this position

Skills & Experience

• A strong commitment to providing the highest standard of customer service.
• Proven experience in commercial property management, with in-depth knowledge of Landlord & Tenant law, including the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954.
• Expertise in managing both single-let and multi-let office buildings and retail units.
• Comprehensive understanding of budget setting, cost control, and service charge administration and recovery.
• Familiarity with building construction, mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems, and contract management.
• Experience in handling lease renewals, rent reviews, lettings, disposals, acquisitions, and licences.
• Attention to detail, with strong numerical and written skills.
• Ability to produce clear and concise reports with well-supported conclusions and recommendations.
• Results-oriented and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organisational abilities.
• Experience in people management.
• MRICS qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Possesses a full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of property management software, such as Yardi.
