We are seeking an experienced Interim Senior Asset Manager to lead the asset strategy for a dynamic Home Counties based council. This is a key leadership role where you will provide expert advice on the acquisition and disposal of the council’s commercial and community assets. Your expertise will drive the council’s strategic objectives, ensuring value for money and contributing to the long-term success of our property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the council’s asset management strategy, overseeing commercial and community asset transactions.
• Advise on acquisitions and disposals, ensuring alignment with council goals and value optimisation.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, providing expert insights and recommendations on property matters.
• Deliver strong financial and operational outcomes through effective asset management.
• Negotiate effectively to secure favourable terms for the council in all property transactions.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience in asset management, particularly within the council/public sector.
• Proven track record in the acquisition and disposal of commercial and/or community assets.
• MRICS qualified (Registered Valuer status desirable but not essential).
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to provide strategic advice and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
