We are pleased to be supporting the growth of a multidisciplinary commercial consultancy with the appointment of a senior level Building Surveyor for their office in Bristol. This firm is a multi-office, well established and highly regarded property company, with incredibly longstanding and established relationships. 

Working within the commercial, industrial and retail space, the role will be technically broad; working for some prominent funds and investor clients. 

The role:

• You'll be responsible for managing various building surveying tasks concurrently for important clients. Demonstrating your capability to adhere to deadlines and providing regular updates to clients is essential.
• Clients will rely on your expertise for advice and assistance with tasks such as dilapidation schedules, pre-acquisition surveys, due diligence, defect diagnosis, fire safety recommendations, and condition reports.
• Your role may encompass aspects of design, contract administration, project management, or a blend of these functions.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Efficiently overseeing projects from start to finish.
• Collaborating with landlords and tenants on their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives to ensure recommendations align with sustainability objectives.
• Mentoring and supporting less experienced team members while also assuming leadership roles.
• Developing a strategic understanding of property asset life cycles and aligning objectives with client briefs.
• Being accessible and proactive in pursuing opportunities for personal and professional growth.

About you:

• MRICS qualified
• A proactive, hands-on, and optimistic attitude towards work 
• Outstanding and polished communication abilities, coupled with the capacity to establish a favourable reputation with clients.
