Job Title: Interim Property Business Partner
Location: West Yorkshire, Hybrid
Contract Type: Interim
Salary: £450-500 per day (Negotiable)
Our client, a local authority in West Yorkshire, is seeking an experienced Interim Property Business Partner to support the strategic management and delivery of capital projects across various council portfolios, including Regeneration, Arts, Culture & Leisure, and Schools. This role is essential in facilitating the council's Estate Strategy by aligning client directorate needs with effective project and asset management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and delivery of property and estate-related capital projects across a designated portfolio.
- Manage competing priorities to ensure efficient and effective project delivery in line with the council’s Estate Strategy.
- Oversee Projects Supervisors in prioritizing and executing projects based on corporate priorities, costs, benefits, and associated risks.
- Provide assurance that directorate needs are reflected in Strategic Asset Management Plans and project business cases.
- Support the Senior Property Business Partner in managing the council’s property services contracts, ensuring contract and financial efficiency.
- Ensure the council’s commercial position is protected, especially on high-value and complex projects, by managing NEC contracts and overseeing contract specifications and adherence.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Degree in a related field such as Building, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- MRICS or CIOB Qualified with demonstrable post-qualification experience in a related role such as Building Surveyor, Project Manager, or Quantity Surveyor.
- NEC Project Management accreditation is desirable.
- In-depth experience managing complex, high-value projects across regeneration, leisure, schools, and educational sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of traditional and modern construction techniques, CDM regulations, and industry safety standards.
- Knowledge of Whole Life Costing appraisal methodologies and strong commercial awareness in protecting the council’s interests.
