The senior management position of Property Services and Asset Manager is key to the successful delivery of Hertsmere’s services to customers, by ensuring the effective and efficient running of Asset and Estates management which includes the acquisition and disposal of assets, valuation of Council property and management of the Council’s property and asset portfolios to ensure quality, cost effectiveness and continuous service improvement are maintained at all times.

As the role is both strategic and operational – with duties ranging from designing policies and procedures to exploring investment opportunities, delivering capital projects and implementing the Council’s development and major building/maintenance programmes. To carry out staff management of the Asset Management team - it is essential that candidates have membership of the RICS and a relevant professional qualification along with extensive experience in surveying and property management.

The successful candidate will be a well-organised, efficient person, and highly regarded. They will be able to adjust to demands and define priorities, work rapidly and accurately and have the ability to communicate effectively with other professionals, elected members, senior managers within the Council and the general public.

The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week).
