East Suffolk Council, Lowestoft or Melton, Suffolk

Head of Property and Place

£89,542 - £101,494 per annum

Full Time, Permanent

East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work, delivering essential local services and making a real difference to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk. In this newly developed role, you will lead on property and place-based services and delivery, as well as managing the council's property portfolio to maximise benefit to the council.

The Property and Place function - covering asset management, asset development, inspection and maintenance and parking - is central to the delivery of plans in East Suffolk. Working alongside teams in Economic Development, Regeneration and as a key part of the Corporate Leadership Team, you will build strong relationships with departments across the council to help deliver its placemaking priorities.

You will have a background in property and strategic asset management with evidence of your ability to manage a large and complex asset portfolio in line with strategic objectives. You will be able to show how you have led strong asset performance, rooted in the places in which you have worked.

You will use high-level relationship management skills to manage a complex and challenging workload in a political environment and you will have the ability to lead, inspire, motivate and manage in a manner that commands the trust of colleagues, councillors and partners.
