Senior Surveyor to Associate. Commercial Property Management

Location: London, Hybrid.

Up to £65,000 inclusive + bonus & benefits. DOE

THE ROLE

My client is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of high-value assets located in Central London and the South East. With around £3 billion of assets under management, clients include Trusts, Private Estates, notable Retailers and well-known Pension Funds to name a few. The portfolio is a mixture of retail, industrial, leisure and office assets.

The firm pride themselves on managing a diverse portfolio of properties, from historic buildings to cutting-edge commercial developments.

The Commercial Property Manager is responsible for ensuring that properties within their portfolio are professionally managed, tenants’ needs are met, and asset performance is optimised in line with client objectives.

DAY TO DAY

Portfolio Management

  • Proactively manage a portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring high standards of operation and tenant satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and implement maintenance plans.
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize asset value, including rent reviews, lease renewals, and service charge management.

Tenant and Client Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on property performance and advising on potential opportunities or challenges.

YOU

  • Proven experience managing commercial properties, ideally with a portfolio focused on Central London and South East England.
  • Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant law, service charge regulations, and health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent financial acumen and experience in budget management and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience managing high-profile or complex assets.

My client operates a hybrid work policy that allows employees to work from home two days a week and in the office three days a week as well as flexibility around core hours.

If you think the role above could be the next step on your surveying journey, please apply using the link.

If you’re looking for a role within Property Management but interested in a different asset class or type of company, we’d still like to hear from you. Not all of our roles are advertised and often, my clients will want to speak to talented Property Management Surveyors.
