Widely acknowledged as the pre-eminent British Planner of his generation, Jonathan Manns leads on regeneration and place-making projects as Board Director and Head of Planning at Rockwell Property. A tireless promoter of planning, he is a writer, speaker, lecturer, campaigner and founder of the APPG for London’s Planning and Built Environment.
As a thought-leader, his opinion pieces have featured in the Guardian, Evening Standard and in international titles, while he has also authored and edited for academic journals including the Journal of Urban Regeneration and Renewal. In 2014, he edited Kaleidoscope City, an acclaimed collection of essays tackling big built environment questions through a London lens.
He has advised on, and contributed to, research by the European Union, UK Government, RICS, London School of Economics and UCL.
RICS Senior Economist
Speaking on - Economy outlook and future of the profession - 12:30pm
Jeff covers global economic trends affecting real estate, property and land, providing policy analysis, market commentary and thought leadership on key areas related to the world built environment. He also serves as a co-investigator at CaCHE, which aims to take a housing systems approach to produce evidence and new research to improve housing policy and practice across the UK. Jeff co-leads on the Centre’s Economy & Housing theme.
Prior to these roles, Jeff was a global macro economist at Morgan Stanley and served on the research staff at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington DC. He has also worked as a currency strategist at Principal Global Investors in London, as an economist at the US Department of Commerce, and as a renewable energy programme manager for the State of Hawaii.
Jeff holds degrees in economics from the University of Washington and Johns Hopkins University.
Chartered Quantity SurveyorSpeaking on - Future in the profession & Matrics -11:00am
Anna Keys, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Associate at Calfordseaden, with over 18 years’ experience as a professional and 8 years as an active member of RICS Matrics. Anna studied Quantity Surveying at Greenwich University and later added to her qualifications at the College of Estate Management; becoming chartered in 2014. Anna is experienced in working with Registered Social Landlords and Registered Housing Providers. She specialises in new build housing for rent and sale, procured on a design & build or partnering basis.
Before taking on the role of UK Chair of RICS Matrics, Anna was Chairman of her local group in Kent – where her passion was to inspire the next generation and attract members into the profession. This remains her focus for her year as Chair; along with ensuring the RICS remains relevant for future professionals.
Operations Director- Data and Information Products, RICSSpeaking on - Data and AI in the profession - 12:00pm
James is the Operations Director at the RICS holding responsibility for products including those from the Building Cost Information Service (BCIS) and isurv (the RICS’ data and knowledge management systems). Previously a Director at Mott MacDonald holding responsibility for data and knowledge management across infrastructure sectors and in over 100 countries, James was also responsible for data management services using BIM; in particular integrating 3D design with life cycle costing and whole life carbon data.
James is currently leading the redevelopment of the BCIS data platform which includes the use of AI and Machine-based learning to help unlock the value of organisations data.
National Corporate Professionals Manager- RICSSpeaking on - Routes to membership - 10:00am
Alison Adams is responsible for promoting RICS qualifications across the UK and identifying the most appropriate routes to membership for those working within organisations.
She works closely with Account Managers to support engagement and collaboration both internally and externally and spends a high proportion of her time delivering presentations and running workshops within firms.
She provides advice and guidance on RICS membership and recommends solutions to member firms to assist them with the process of qualifying and developing staff.
Sven van Duffelen
Global Head of Channel Sales for GeoSLAM

He manages the sales growth of the company in key markets such as the UK, Asia, Europa and Africa. With a focus on both the technical and commercial benefits of 3D Mass Data, Sven has empowered distributors and customers alike to unlock and embrace the real value of “Go Anywhere” mobile mapping technology.
Previously Sven held the role of Sales and Marketing Manager for one of Africa’s largest Geospatial companies focusing on Mass Data Capture. In 2017, Sven was recruited by GeoSLAM as the European Channel Manager which at the time was a 20-member team operating out of a small warehouse to the east of Nottingham. 2 years on, Sven is now the Global Head of Channel Sales working with a team of over 80 GeoSLAM staff around the globe ranging from Hardware and Software Engineers to Channel Sales and product managers.
As GeoSLAM continues its phenomenal growth globally, we are on the lookout for incredible talent to accelerate and support our global dominance as the Leader in “Go – Anywhere” Mobile Mapping Technology.
