Terms & Conditions: RICS Recruit Customer Survey
By entering the free Prize Draw to win an Amazon gift voucher for the amounts of £50, £100 or £250 (the “Prize Draw”), you agree to be bound by our Prize Draw terms and conditions, a full copy of which is available below. Please read these carefully. We have set out some of the key terms and conditions below.
Promoter
- The Promoter of this Prize Draw is Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors of 12 Great George Street, Westminster, SW1P 3AD (RICS)
Entry requirements
- The Participant must have received and opened a ‘Customer Survey’ link from RICS website and completed the survey by the closing date to be eligible.
- The Prize Draw is free and open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over, except employees of RICS, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the Prize Draw.
- All entries are automatically submitted by completing the RICS Recruit Customer Survey and by providing your contact details at the end of the survey. All completed entries will be automatically entered into the Prize Draw. Entry is limited to one single entry per person. Duplicate entries will be invalid. Entry made via a third party (including by use of an automated service) is not permitted. An entry sent in this way will not be valid.
How to Enter
- The Prize Draw will open at 9am on Monday 02 September, and close at 5pm on Friday 01 November. After this time no further entries to the Prize Draw will be permitted.
- Entry to the Prize Draw is free. No purchase necessary to enter the Prize Draw.
- To enter the Prize Draw you must successfully complete and submit the online survey.
- RICS accepts no responsibility for entries not received for whatever reason and for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind.
Prize on Offer
- The winners will be selected at random from all respondents, who have provided contact details as part of their survey completion.
- The winners will receive a £50, £100 or £250 Amazon voucher. The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
How the winner will be chosen
- The winners will be selected at random from all complete, eligible, properly submitted entries received before the closing date and time. The draw will take place within three working days of the closing date.
- The winners will be notified within 10 working days of the draw date using the email address provided within the survey.
- In the event that contact with a winner cannot be made within 10 working days of the draw date or the winner is found not to meet the entry requirements in these Terms and Conditions, RICS reserves the right to withdraw the prize entitlement and to award the prize to another participant who will be drawn at random. If a winner does not respond to RICS within 10 working days of being notified by RICS, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and RICS will be entitled to select another winner at random.
Publication and Data Protection
- RICS must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation RICS will send the county of the prize winner to anyone who emails cgrant@rics.org or writes to Cheyanne Grant, RICS, 12 Great George Street, London, SW1P3AD (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the closing date. RICS is legally required to provide the surname and county of all Prize Draw winners to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
- Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed for the purpose of administering the Prize Draw (see also condition 12 with regard to the announcement of winners) and administering the RICS Recruit Customer Survey. For general information about your personal information is processed, and your rights, please refer to the Privacy Policy www.rics.org/footer/rics-privacy-policy.
Liability
- The Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. RICS reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
- RICS reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without notice, by posting changes to this webpage.
- RICS reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate, or suspend the Prize Draw in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, if it believes the Prize Draw is not capable of being conducted as specified within these Terms and Conditions or in the event of any other cause that is beyond the reasonable control of RICS that could affect the normal course of the Prize Draw.
- Neither RICS nor any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies are responsible for any losses, failures or delays caused by events beyond its or their control such as (but not limited to) the acts or defaults of any supplier selected by RICS to provide the prize that may lead to loss or damage of the prize in transit to the winner.
- Save where it has been negligent, RICS will not be responsible for any damage, loss or injury resulting from participants’ entry into the Prize Draw or their acceptance and/or use of the prize, or for technical or difficulties of any kind that may limit or prohibit their ability to participate in the Prize Draw. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall in any way limit RICS’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or any other matter where liability may not as a matter of law be limited.
- The decision of RICS regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
- These terms and conditions and this promotion are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
